Vic: Hospital workbans to escalate

Emergency meetings have failed to settle an industrial dispute between public hospital
managers and the health services lowest paid workers.

The Health Services Union of Australia says more meetings have been planned for next
week, but if those fail hospital managers could find themselves collecting rubbish, making
beds, delivering food and transporting patients.

Union officials met health authorities late yesterday to discuss an Australian Industrial
Relations Commission ruling on the Victorian Hospital's Industrial Association latest
